Ayurvedic Body Therapies

Āyurvedic therapies work with the physical, mental, and subtle energy bodies to catalyze and accelerate our healing process.

Ayurvedic Treatments provide a way to balance the body, relieve pain and stress, deeply nourish tissues, and calm the mind.

Ābhyanga Massage

This traditional ayurvedic treatment uses warm, herb-infused oil and combines light to medium pressure, with rhythmic movement. Abhyanga is highly nourishing for the tissues of the body, and has the ability to calm the mind.

Basti

Basti is a wonderful addition to other ayurvedic therapies. Organic flour is used to create a reservoir that is placed over the affected area of your body such as your womb, low back, or heart. Warm medicated oils are poured inside the reservoir, concentrating the healing benefits of the oil where you need it most, and is also deeply relaxing.

Shirodhara

Shiro (head) + dhara (flow). This traditional Āyurvedic treatment is a form of oil therapy in which a continuous stream of warm, medicated oil is poured over the forehead and 3rd eye. Shirodhara facilitates a deep state of relaxation and has a profound impact on the nervous system. It is an incredibly effective therapy for conditions that manifests in the mind and nervous system: like busy mind, difficult focusing, anxiety, stress, and fatigue.

Pinda Swedna

Pinda Sweda are hot herbal boluses that are rubbed into muscles during an abyhanga massage. The bags are placed on the joints, muscles, and tendons to reduce pain, inflammation and other conditions.
